How many items of clothing do I need to send?
Each keepsake needs between 6 and 8 items of clothing. I can use any clothing for your keepsake, however I will need at least a couple of items with some stretch, baby grows, vests, pyjamas and t-shirts work well. Please make sure all items are clean and in wearable condition. I am fairly good at avoiding small stains (having had two children I know how easily babies get stains) however I can not avoid large stains or holes.
What if I send too many or to few items?
Occasionally the position of fastenings or logos reduce the amount of useable fabric, if this happen when making your keepsake I will contact you to send an extra one or two items of clothing.
Any items of clothing that I don’t use I will return to you with your keepsake. Please try not to send too many extra items of clothing as this increases postage costs for you.
Can I decided where clothing is used on my keepsake?
If you have a preference for where i use an item of clothing please do let me know and I will do my best to meet your request. When sending your clothing to me, please pop a note in to tell me which you definitely want me to use, and which you’d rather I only use a little of, or a lot of. Also please highlight any special features or logos you want me to try and use.
How do I get my clothing to you?
When you checkout through the shop (or contact me to order) you will receive an email confirmation with my address to send your clothing. I’d recommend sending it recorded to me, I am usually back from taking my eldest to school to catch the post lady (she knows me well now!). I will collect any missed parcels from the sorting office on a Saturday morning. I can not accept any responsibility for clothing that is lost en-route to me.
When is payment due?
Payment is due when you order your keepsake. I find this reduces my admin time which in turn leads to more sewing time for me to create your keepsakes.
When will my keepsake be made?
I aim to have all keepsakes returned to you within 10-12 weeks. However it is usually quicker than this. Having two small children and a husband to look after occasionally things crop up that take me away from my sewing.
What pattern do you use?
I mainly use patterns produced by Pauline from funky friends factory with the exception of the keepsake bunny which is my own pattern.
